What do most insurance agents dont want their customers to know.
1) Dont let your agent talk you into a low deductible health insurance plan, since most people never met their deductible.
2) Car Insurance Add ons are mostly profit for the car insurance carriers, like towing and rental.
3) It is a bad idea for most people to use LIFE insurance as an investment or retirement plan.
4) There is a huge differance in replacement cost and actual cash value when it comes to home insurance, make sure you understand the difference.
5) Mulitiple line discounts are availible through most companies, so make sure you ask for them since they cust into the agent commission you may not have them offered to you.
6) Annual reviews are as much for the AGENT as they are for the client, as that happens to be the time when their commissions get cut and they are therfor incented to find you a new plan or product.
Agents make more when you spend more, so it is not in their best intrest if they save
